I spent two fine days at Edisto Beach, as it turned out a very low key town mostly midrange houses, a golf course, a few small motels but no hotel or condo towers, and just a few cafes and shops, including a Piggly Wiggly with an outstanding deli.
I had two sunny afternoons on the shell beach, the first calm, the next windy but both fine, warm with birds, butterflies and a long clean beach with just a few people out.
One morning I rode hard packed sand trails to an Indian shell mound through woods and aong marshes
then back to the beach - every day should be so easy.
Something about a beach is so restful. must be the fish in me calling home.
